Dear Centro Cultural de la Raza Board of Directors, I am writing to inform you that I strongly denounce the censorship of the mural, the exoneration of the culprits and the act of calling the police against members of the San Diego Chicano community. I support the conscientious objection of those who oppose any efforts to take the Centro away from artists and the community. I am deeply troubled by recent decisions of the Board leadership to limit freedom of expression, to change the mission and to make the Centro inaccessible to our Raza. I support the community in their demands for the resignations of Lupe Corona, Aida Mancillas, Nancy Rodriguez, Jerry Calderon and Viviana Enrique. As a member of the Centro community, I demand the preservation of the Centro Cultural de la Raza as an arts space that promotes a spirit of inclusion, respect and openness and serves the needs of the Chicano/Latino/Indigenous community in all of its diversity. Sincerely, A Concerned Stakeholder
