Roots Rock Raza is a monthly singer/songwriter showcase and acoustic open mike hosted by writer Victor Payan at Voz Alta in San Diego. Each month features lively discussion, audience Q&A and acoustic performances by leading and influential musicians and songwriters from the San Diego/Tijuana region. Expect the unexpected from the free-wheeling mixture of interview, performance and audience participation. Learn about songwriting from the best tunesmiths in town, then get up onstage and belt out a number of your own. From punk to funk and from reggae to rock en español, anything is possible at Roots Rock Raza. Click here for a livelyprofile of Roots Rock Raza that appeared in the San Diego Reader.
